CHANGING THE CONVERSATION for People Living With Diabetes
Lorraine lives with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and is proud to share that she has been in remission for two and a half years. Her journey has been about more than numbers. It has been about reclaiming her health, strength, and confidence. Through consistent lifestyle changes and support, she now enjoys an active and balanced life that makes her feel empowered every day.
Movement plays a big role in her routine. She trains with a personal trainer, practices Pilates, plays pickleball, and spends time walking and hiking. These activities remind her that diabetes does not define her or limit what she can accomplish. Living with diabetes, whether T1D or T2D, comes with daily challenges, and Lorraine is passionate about encouraging others on their own journeys.
Supporting children living with T1D is especially meaningful to her. She believes that D‑Camps give kids a place to connect with others who understand them, build confidence, and feel supported in a safe and encouraging environment.
Lorraine is modelling in the Pump Couture Fashion Show to raise awareness and help more children access D‑Camps. If sharing her story inspires someone or helps send even one more child to camp, it means everything to her.
