CHANGING THE CONVERSATION for People Living With Diabetes
Kaleb was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) on February 22, 2002. At the time, he felt frightened and unsure of what the future would hold. Learning to live with diabetes meant adjusting to constant monitoring, staying active safely, and taking responsibility for his health every day.
Kaleb’s challenges are closely tied to his active and demanding lifestyle. Working with patients, traveling on the road as a speaker, and staying physically active all require careful planning and attention to diabetes management. Balancing these responsibilities has been challenging, but it has also taught him resilience, accountability, and self‑awareness.
Living with T1D has given Kaleb a strong sense of purpose and introduced him to a supportive community full of warriors. He is passionate about health and helping elevate others’ lives through speaking, writing, and his work as a sports specialist chiropractor. Kaleb believes in managing diabetes rather than letting it manage you. While the journey can be challenging, he knows it can also be incredibly rewarding.
