CHANGING THE CONVERSATION for People Living With Diabetes
Ishana was diagnosed in June 2021. Since then, she has faced challenges in social situations, adjusting to changes, and sometimes feeling different from her peers. Navigating these experiences has helped her grow into someone resilient, thoughtful, and mature beyond her years. While these challenges have not always been easy, they have strengthened her confidence and ability to adapt. Ishana loves expressing herself through art, dance, and music, and she especially enjoys dressing up as her favorite Disney and K‑pop Demon Hunters characters. These creative outlets allow her to celebrate who she is and show her unique personality. Living with her diagnosis has helped Ishana become stronger and more self‑aware, and she continues to face each day with courage. To someone newly diagnosed, Ishana would say, “It gets better, and you get stronger.”
